Floveyor, the aeromechanical conveyor - the innovative further development of the tube chain conveyor

The aeromechanical conveyor is the evolution and all-purpose weapon for conveying bulk materials. This more efficient alternative to the classic chain conveyor conveys all common free-flowing bulk materials (from fine powders to granulates) at high throughput rates and with virtually no wear. With its slim design, it conveys your products from or into silos, big bags, mixers, packaging machines and many more.

Thanks to its unique properties, aeromechanical conveying is also ideally suited as a replacement for bucket elevators for powdery bulk materials.

The aeromechanical principle

The conveyor rope moves through a pipe at a speed of 4 m/s, creating suction/vacuum behind the conveyor pulley. The material – any free-flowing bulk material is suitable – is “pulled” or sucked into this suction with virtually no frictional forces or wear on the bulk material.
When operating without material, only the existing conveying air circulates in the pipes. When the product is fed in, the product volume displaces the air volume. The same amount of air is sucked back in via the funnel during discharge.

Sheathed ropes in polymer coating

The great advantage of this design, which has been tried and tested in practice since 2005, is that the transport sheaves and the rope are fused together in a single operation, without any rivets. This results in a complete seal between the two assemblies, the ideal prerequisite for a particularly long service life and clean operation.

Conveyor cables are available in stainless steel AISI 304 and AISI 329 (magnetic) bare or coated in white and blue PU (optionally magnetic).

Conveyor disks made of PU are available in white or blue and optionally magnetic.

The operating costs are comparatively minimal, as only a 1.5 kW motor is required for operation.

Small construction volume: Floveyors are compact in design and construction and require significantly less space in operation than bucket elevators. In addition, Floveyor machines can be used in mobile applications, i.e. they do not have to be permanently installed.

The systems can be used at any angle, i.e. with any inclination.
Mobile trolleys can be fitted as an option, allowing the Floveyor machines to be moved manually.
Each machine is adapted to the conditions on site or the connected process units.

All bulk materials up to a particle size of approx. 12 mm.

Almost no residue remains in the machine.
Dry cleaning is possible during the process.
Wet cleaning is also no problem

The ropes are available in three materials and designs:

  • Stainless steel bright AISI 304, AISI 329 magnetic
  • coated in PU in white and blue
  • coated in PU, magnetic

The cast-on conveyor disks are available in

  • PU in white or blue
  • Magnetically detectable PU in blue
  • We only offer riveted panes on express request

No, the machine has an integrated dosing unit.

After a rope change, the rope tension should be checked three times within 8 hours, after which the system runs maintenance-free.

Example values for orientation are e.g. cement with max. 60 t/h, sugar with max. 40 t/h and flour with max. 20 t/h.
